I am so excited about this dress. It is the Tova pattern in Lisette fabric - the perfect garment! I bought the fabric in summer to make a Lisette
Passport dress but as we drifted into cooler months a sun dress didn't have as much appeal. Then I began seeing this
Tova dress by Wiksten popping up in blogs all over the place... I had found my fabrics calling.

It is an uncomplicated pattern and agree with other bloggers it was easier to sew the arms and side seams in one than to insert the sleeve. I was a bit worried about the sizing and fit (as it can be such an unknown) but its great. |

I was really silly and cut the front panel on the wrong fold! I have no idea how I managed to do that. So I had two pieces or my front panel instead of one and a seam down the front middle! |

It goes very well with my new shoes |

I love the sleeve detail |
Wow! That's turned out beautifully! And love the shoes too :)
ReplyDeletePretty shoes! I've seen that pattern and was debating getting it. I love your fabric choice. Your dress/tunic looks wonderful. Great job!
ReplyDeleteVery cute - love the colours. And I'm sure you'll get wear out of this in winter and spring too.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I love me a Tova too, and great fabric choice! I've only done the set in sleeves, but use smocking elsatic instead of pulling the threads (unevenly). Need a winter one soon too!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great! Love the fabric - my fave colour.
ReplyDelete...off to investigate that pattern.....
Great colours and looks lovely on too. xx
ReplyDeleteLooks great!! Love the fabric.
ReplyDeleteLove it! The shape of the dress is great, and I love the fabric you chose, it's so pretty!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great. I've loved mine but now I want one short enough to wear over jeans as a tunic.
